Founding Partner

Dan Lapidot is a founding partner at Lapidot, Melchior, Abramovich & Co. and leads the firm’s high-tech practice. He brings more than two decades of experience advising entrepreneurs, investors, and technology companies in complex transactions in Israel and internationally, from formation and growth through exit transactions.

Dan has advised on numerous investment transactions involving venture capital funds, family offices, private investors, and multinational corporations, and represents startups as well as established companies in mergers and acquisitions, strategic collaborations, and international business transactions.

In addition to transactional work, Dan provides ongoing counsel on intellectual property matters, technology licensing, international commercial agreements, and general corporate matters.

Practice Areas:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Advising companies, investors, and entrepreneurs in acquisition transactions, sales of business activities, strategic mergers, and cross-border transactions from transaction evaluation and negotiation through completion.
  • Corporate Finance & Securities: Advising on investment transactions in startup and growth-stage companies, fundraising rounds, and equity and debt financing, including work with venture capital funds, strategic investors, and institutional investors.
  • Commercial Law & Cross-Border Transactions: Drafting and negotiating distribution, manufacturing, sales, services, and commercial cooperation agreements in Israel and internationally, tailored to each client’s business needs.
  • Intellectual Property & Technology Licensing: Advising on complex IP transactions, including licensing agreements, joint development agreements, joint ventures, escrow arrangements, technology commercialization, and protection of research and development assets.
  • Representation of High-Tech Companies and Investors: Ongoing corporate advice to companies, entrepreneurs, and investors, including founders’ agreements, preparation for capital raising, regulatory matters, and strategic transactions in the technology sector.
  • Complex Real Estate Transactions: Advising and representing clients in significant commercial real estate transactions, including projects involving business and technological interfaces.


Outside the office, Dan enjoys road and trail cycling and playing volleyball, and is dedicated to serving in the military reserves.
